Richard Hinojosa is the Executive Chef and a partner in the newly created CRUjiente Tacos. Chef Rich’s passion for food, attention to detail and vast experience in both resorts and restaurants provides the foundation and leadership for CRUjiente Tacos.
He has previous hospitality experience as the Executive Chef at The Wigwam, Executive Chef at the Hotel Jerome in Aspen, Colorado, the Executive Sous Chef at the Westin Maui Resort and Spa as well as Sous Chef at Mary Elaine’s at the Phoenician Resort.
Chef Rich was also the owner of his own successful Catering Company in the Phoenix area called CRAVE-Catering for the Distinguished Palate. CRAVE was a boutique catering company specializing in intimate, multi-course wine dinners.
Hinojosa began his career in the culinary industry over 20 years ago. He was born and raised in San Antonio and moved to Arizona in 1995 to attend the Scottsdale Culinary Institute. He graduated in 1997, and in 2011, he became a level two certified sommelier by the Court of Master Sommeliers.
