2017 Cashless Payments Refund Policy

All credit (excluding bonus incentives) left unredeemed by the close of the event on October 15, 2017 will be refunded in accordance with the terms below:

  • Credit & Debit Card: Leftover funds in your account, purchased online or on-site at the event using a credit or debit card, will automatically be refunded back to your card (less a $3.50 refund processing fee) within 10 business days following the close of the event.
  • Cash: Leftover funds in your account, purchased on-site at the event using cash, will require you to complete a Manual Refund Form, available from the Refund page in your cashless account (less a $3.50 refund processing fee).
The deadline to apply for a manual refund is October 31, 2017. Upon verification, the refund will be processed within 10 business days following the closure of the refund form.

REGISTER YOUR WRISTBAND FOR REFUNDS FROM CASH LOADS/RELOADS
If you have not already created a cashless account, follow the easy steps below to get started:
STEP 1: CREATE YOUR ACCOUNT
  • Click “Register Your Wristband for Refunds”.
  • Enter your personal details or simply log in with Facebook.
  • If you did not log in with Facebook, you will receive an email from Arizona Taco Festival asking you to confirm your registration by clicking the activation button in the email.
  • Follow the instructions on the website to finish setting up your account.
STEP 2: LINK YOUR WRISTBAND
  • Once you’re logged in, click the “Tickets/Wristbands” tab from the top menu and select “I have a wristband”.
  • Enter the Security Code (6-digit number) and Wristband Number (16-digit number) located on the back of the RFID tag on your wristband.
  • Click “Add”.
STEP 3: APPLY FOR A REFUND
  • Click the “Refund” tab from the top menu bar.
  • From here you will be required to fill out the “Manual Refund Form” in order to have your unspent funds refunded back to your bank account.

WHAT ARE CASHLESS PAYMENTS?
To pay using your RFID wristband, you will start by loading money to your cashless account—think of it like a pre-paid account. Once you make purchases by double-tapping your wristband at vendor locations, the amount spent will automatically be deducted from your account balance. If you run out of credit, you can load up again.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:
When you arrive at the festival, you’ll receive a wristband in exchange for your ticket that will be your means of entry into the festival and your digital wallet to buy food and drinks – all with a simple tap! No more fumbling for tokens; instead, enjoy fast and secure transactions using your RFID wristband!

To save time at the event, register your ticket online by linking it to your cashless account. Then, simply load pre-paid funds into your account before you arrive.
Register Your RFID Account
STEP 1: CREATE YOUR ACCOUNT
  • Click Here To Register Your Ticket
  • Click “Register” or use an existing Facebook account to sign up.
  • You will receive an email asking you to confirm your registration by clicking the activation button in the email.
  • Follow the instructions on the website to finish setting up your account.
STEP 2: LINK YOUR TICKET
  • Once you’re logged in, click the “Tickets/Wristbands” tab from the top menu and select “I have a ticket”.
  • Enter the ticket number found under the barcode on your General Admission or Mucho Margarita ticket ***Do not use the Tequila Tent/Margarita Expo add on ticket when completing this process***
  • Click “Save”.
STEP 3: ADD CASH TO YOUR ACCOUNT
  • Click the “Load/Reload” tab from the top menu, then click the “Load” button.
  • You will be asked if you want to “Enable Auto Reload” (see below for details). You can click “Maybe later” or “Yes, enable”.
  • Enter the amount you wish to load, review your order and click “Checkout” when ready.
  • Enter your credit card information on the payment site.
  • Your ticket will be swapped for your RFID wristband when you arrive on-site and all funds pre-loaded will then be linked to your wristband.
All unspent credit will be refunded back to you after the event (less a $3.50 refund processing fee). Please review our refund policy for more details.
ENABLING AUTO RELOAD *HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
The easiest way to add credit to your account is to “Enable Auto Reload”. When you “Enable Auto Reload,” your account balance will automatically re-load $20 when your balance drops below $10. This amount will automatically be charged to your credit card and you will receive an email notification of this transaction.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO REGISTER YOUR TICKET/WRISTBAND?
  • Ability to load your account in advance, saving you time from visiting a “Reload” station on-site
  • Email notifications of all your reloading and purchase transactions
  • Tracking of your on-site purchases
  • Automatic refund after the event (for any leftover credit from online reloading)
DID YOU PURCHASE MULTIPLE TICKETS?
Register a new account for each ticket/wristband if you want to keep your spending separate. Assign a ticket/wristband to each of your buddies and have them each create a new account with their ticket numbers.

FYI - If you add two or more ticket numbers into the same account, this is called a "Shared Family Account", and all linked tickets/wristbands will be able to make purchases using the same pool of funds in the account. You will NOT be able to separate spending amounts.
HOW DO I ADD CREDITS TO MY ACCOUNT AT THE FESTIVAL?
You can add credit at one of the on-site “Reload” Stations. Taco vendor booths and bars will not be able to load funds for you, so make sure you have enough credit in your account before making purchases. Trained staff will be on-hand to help you through the process. You can also load funds online using your smartphone!
HOW DO I MAKE A PURCHASE?
Now that you’ve loaded your account, you can make cashless purchases for food, drinks and merchandise. Once you’re at a vendor location:
  1. Tap your wristband on the RFID reader.
  2. Place your order with the staff.
  3. Tap your wristband a second time to confirm your transaction.
The amount will automatically be deducted from your account. It’s that easy!
CAN I TRANSFER MY CREDITS FROM MY WRISTBAND TO ANOTHER ONE?
No, you cannot transfer credits once they are in your personalized account. However, any leftover credit will be refunded to you in accordance with our refund policy.
CAN I SPLIT THE COST OF SOMETHING WITH A FRIEND?
No, you cannot split payment for an item. Only one wristband can be used to open the transaction, and that same wristband must be used to close and confirm the purchase. This is a security feature to ensure the purchaser is in control of their own spending.
IF MY FRIEND AND I BOTH HAVE LEFTOVER CREDIT, CAN WE COMBINE THE REMAINING AMOUNTS INTO ONE ACCOUNT?
No, you cannot combine credits from different accounts once those accounts have been created separately.
WHAT IF I HAVE LEFTOVER CREDIT AT THE END OF THE FESTIVAL? WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?
All credit left unredeemed by the close of the festival on October 15, 2017 will be refunded in accordance with the terms below:
  • Credit & Debit Card: Leftover funds on your account purchased online or on-site at the event using a credit or debit card will automatically be refunded back to your card (less a $3.50 refund processing fee) within 10 business days following the end of the event.
  • Cash: Leftover funds on your account purchased on-site at the event using cash will require you to complete a Manual Refund in your online account page (less a $3.50 refund processing fee). Upon verification, the refund will be processed within 10 business days following the closure of the refund form.

Additional Terms:
  • All refunds are subject to a $3.50 refund processing fee.
  • Refund processing is subject to verification of the data inputted by the guest in the Manual Refund Form. The guest is responsible for submitting accurate data.
  • The deadline to apply for a Manual Refund is October 31, 2017.
