CONTEST DESCRIPTIONS

HOT CHILE PEPPER EATING CONTEST

This is just a good, old-fashioned 6-person chile pepper challenge. Contestants must work their way up from very hot peppers to the hottest peppers we can find. Good luck!

TACO EATING CHALLENGE

Everyone loves Loco Patron’s award-winning crunchy chicken tacos. But we ask, how much do you love them? Think you can eat 6 of them the fastest? Enter at the Contest Check In Booth the moment you get to the fest (there’s usually a waiting list). If you get up on stage and win, you’ll win more tacos at Loco Patron!

NACHO EATING CHALLENGE

The nachos at neighboring Ventura Grill look innocent enough: chips, meat, cheese, guac, sour cream … but you must finish this pile of deliciousness after pouring a bowl of ghost pepper sauce on them. Normally meant for dipping, this sauce is great in moderation. In excess, it’s insane!
