Agave Underground: Description to come.
Alien: Alien Tequila Silver is 100% Blue Agave, estate produced and bottled in the town San Agustin located in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. Alien Silver is bottled directly after distillation in an iridescent “out-of-this-world” vessel displaying an extraterrestrial in a spectrum of colors. An abduction in every bottle. Operation of spacecraft is strictly prohibited after consumption.
Arta: Artá Tequila is estate grown by 11th generation ranchers and distilled/bottled by a 3rd generation master distiller. All three varieties express the “Art of Life” with a superior, handcrafted product. Bottles are made with recycled glass, sealed with a sustainably harvested cork, and topped with a refurbished metal cap. Why not do good by the Earth while enjoying the perfect tequila?
Avion: Industry elite awarded this new tequila a Double Gold at the 2011 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Hollywood elite awarded it unparalleled PR in the form of regular appearances on “Entourage.” Regardless, there’s ultra-slow filtered tequila from the highest points of Jalisco in every bottle of Avión’s Silver, Repo, and Añejo varietals.
Cabo Wabo: Cabo Wabo Tequila was originally created by Sammy Hagar to have a superior tequila to serve his friends and in his Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. A stickler for authenticity and quality, Cabo Wabo is made from 100% Blue Weber Agave and comes in four different types including Blanco, Reposado, Anejo and Cabo Uno. It is acknowledged as one of the finest tequilas in the world.
Casa Noble: Casa Noble ultra premium tequila begins with carefully selected mature Blue Agave plants, which have met strict requirements for water and sugar content. They employ only traditional methods and slow cook our rich agave piñas for 38 hours in stove ovens. Their fermentation process is 100% natural, followed by triple distillation.
Corralejo: Corralejo’s Reposado is “rested” for four months on three different kinds of oak – French, American and Encino – and represents a highly unique approach to the use of wood for influencing tequila flavor. This method has been validated by three Gold Medals in international tastings and the “Double Gold Medal” at the 2001 World Spirits Competition.
Corrido: Corrido uses 100% Blue Weber Single-Estate agave harvested from rich volcanic soil. They make Cristalino (blanco), a Reposado, and Añejo (both single barrel; aged to taste, not time), and Extra Añejo.
Cruz: Arizona owned and operated, this 8-time award-winning brand pours a creamy Silver that’s slowly cooked in traditional brick ovens, and a Repo rested in oak barrels for 5 months.
Don Azul: Don Azul’s prized Platinum, which obtains its character from 6- and 7-year old agaves, goes through a highly controlled fermentation, triple distillation, and triple filtration.
Don Julio: For over 6 decades, Don Julio has been crafting Mexico’s finest tequila. Their pure and fresh agave aromas blend with a crisp, clean flavor that ends with a light finish.
El Caudillo: El Caudillo’s select Tequila is double distilled then carefully aged in white oak barrels previously used for maturing bourbon, imparting a complex golden color and “oaky” flavor, before being bottled.
El Charro: El Charro makes a killer Blanco and Repo, both from 100% Blue Agave plants and twice distilled in pot stills with a 3- to 5-day fermentation process. Their Añejo is aged in French Oak barrels.
El Diablito Mezcal: El Diablito Mezcal is the latest member of Creo Commercium INC. Mezcal is also produced from agave plants, but the process it goes through is different to that of tequila. It is distilled only once, so it has a rougher, more smoky flavor.
El Jimador: Named after the master harvester of the agave plants that are used to make tequila, El Jimador does them proud with a lineup of perfect tequilas that are versatile and expertly crafted.
Espolon: Espolón hails from an artisanal distillery that produces a Blanco with a sweet agave nose and hints of pepper; and a Reposado with caramel aromas and Añejo-like wood spiciness.
El Mayor: In Spanish, El Mayor means “the greatest”. El Mayor Tequila sets the highest standards: use only the best raw product, implement the most intelligent, time-tested techniques, and instill in all of those around you a passion and pride in every aspect of the tequila-making process.
El Tesoro: Distilled to proof, with no water or sugar added. El Tesoro tequila is double distilled in copper stills to exactly 80 proof. First, it’s distilled with the agave fibers to retain the natural agave flavors. This creates an alcohol called “ordinario.” They then distill it a second time, which turns the ordinario into crystal clear tequila.
Herradura: With such prevalent placements at bars everywhere, you’ve likely mixed Herradura in a margarita or other tequila cocktail. Use today as a chance to acquaint yourself with this wonderful brand.
Hornitos: Plata New in 2007, Hornitos Plata is unaged and is the purest expression of the powerful 100% agave flavor. Double distillation and gentle agave extraction preserve the lively agave flavor and smooth character. Reposado— unlike other reposados, Hornitos is rested in large 10,000 gallon American oak vats rather than small individual barrels, providing less wood contact, delivering the purest articulation of true agave character possible in a Reposado Tequila. Full flavor and a smooth finish make Hornitos Reposado the perfect tequila shot.
Jose Cuervo: Try their crisp Tradicional Silver, which is made in the same small-batch production method used by Jose Cuervo in 1795, and Cuervo Platino Reserva De La Familia.
Karma Tequila: Karma Tequila is produced from 100% Agave, grown in the Highlands of Jalisco, the region recognized for having the richest soil and ideal climate conditions. Each Agave is hand picked from pre-selected Agave fields. The Agave is tested for sugar content ensuring only the mature and sweetest Agave is used to produce Karma Tequila.
Luna Malvada: Luna Malvada is a true artisanal product made of 100% Blue Weber Agave from a newly rediscovered growing region. This smaller, family-run distillery is able to practically handcraft every bottle, extracting intricate flavors from the agave plants themselves. The result is complex, full-bodied, and incredibly smooth.
Lunazul: With such prevalent placements at bars everywhere, you’ve likely mixed Herradura in a margarita or other tequila cocktail. Use today as a chance to acquaint yourself with this wonderful brand.
